保羅回應馬其頓的呼聲
Paul responds to the voice of Macedonia
- 當保羅宣教時，站在歐洲跟亞洲的交界。其實他的心是想要往亞洲去，但是使徒行傳中說上帝的靈不准，接著又聽到往馬其頓的方向有個呼聲，馬其頓的人說請你過來幫助我們，於是保羅就往歐洲去了。
賣紫色布疋的婦人，名叫呂底亞

- 進入歐洲後第一座城就是腓立比城，進城後遇到賣紫色布疋的婦人，名叫呂底亞；保羅就把福音傳給她，她也信了！
腓立比教會是歐州第一間教會
Philippi Church is the first church in Europe
- 不久保羅就在那設立了第一間教會就是腓立比教會，也是歐洲第一間教會。

- 我每逢想念你們，就感謝我的神；每逢為你們眾人祈求的時候，常是歡歡喜喜的祈求。
I thank my God every time I remember you. In all my prayers for all of you, I always pray with joy (腓立比 Philippians1:3-4)

And now, brothers and sisters, we want you to know about the grace that God has given the Macedonian churches. (哥林多後書 II Corinthians 8:1)
- 受大試煉&極窮之間
In the trial & extreme poverty
- 就是他們在患難中受大試煉的時候，仍有滿足的快樂，在極窮之間還格外顯出他們樂捐的厚恩。In the midst of a very severe trial, their overflowing joy and their extreme poverty welled up in rich generosity. (哥林多後書 II Corinthians 8:2)
- 過了力量
Beyond their ability
- 我可以證明，他們是按著力量，而且也過了力量，自己甘心樂意的捐助，
For I testify that they gave as much as they were able, and even beyond their ability. Entirely on their own, (哥林多後書 II Corinthians 8:3)
- 再三請求 & 奉獻的特權
